Fear
is never from God, but many times this type of message causes many that
hear it to become fearful.
II
Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind.
The
Lord has in times past done what whatever it has taken to save His own.
There is no doubt that He is about to do that very thing for millions of
us who serve Him with whole hearts.
Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)
19
So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory
from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
These
are sure words that the Lord has spoken unto His faithful. We are the
victors, not the losers. It is high time that we as the church start
acting like winners in every aspect of our lives. This is the time of
our visitation and we must prepare to meet our Lord.
Isaiah 60:1-2 (KJV)
1
ARISE, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen
upon thee.
2
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the
people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen
upon thee.
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue
that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the
heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me,
saith the Lord.
Our
hope is in Him, which is our Hope in glory. We are entering into the
most exciting times that has ever been known to mankind. The display of
the power of God is truly going to be something to behold. Our
generation is called to such a time as this and we must take charge of
the job that is at hand. The Lord has already fought the battle and
given us the victory. We are a chosen generation from the foundation of
the world, upon whom the ends are written.
I
would like for you to read this next portion and know that it is for
you. Put yourself in the places that would pertain to you and let your
faith arise. Read this as though you were saying it in positive
confession.
I will
dwell in the secret place of the most High and I will abide under the
shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my
fortress: My God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver me from
the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover
me with His feathers, and under His wings shall I trust: His truth shall
be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flies by day; nor for the pestilence that walks
in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand
may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not
come near me. Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the reward of the
wicked. Because I have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most
High, my habitation; there shall be no evil befall me, neither shall any
sickness or disease come near my home. For He shall give his angels
charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. They shall lift me up in
their hands, lest that I should dash my foot against a stone. I shall
tread down the lion and the adder: the young lion and the dragon shall I
trample under my feet. Because I have loved the Lord with all my heart
He will deliver me when I call upon His name. Long life will He give me
here on the face of this earth. And so shall I be with the Lord forever
more. Amen
Of
course, I have quoted most of Psalms 91. I hope that you read this
putting yourself in David's place. If you did, it should have boosted
your faith to know that God is no respecter of persons. The Lord will
honor this in your life, if you will make Him your God as David did.
Judgment has already started here in America and most have not
considered such a thing as this happening. In the days, months, and
years to come the judgment of God will become worse and worse. We must
pray that the Lord of the harvest will let us reach as many as possible
during this time. The fields are truly white and ready for the taking.
Let us labor while it is still day, because the time comes when darkness
will prevail and no man will be able to labor.
I
leave you with the words of the apostle Paul; this should be our cry in
this hour.
Philippians 4: 4-13 (KJV)
4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me
hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked
opportunity.
11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever
state I am, therewith to be content.
12
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and
in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to
abound and to suffer need.
13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
CONCLUSION
We
have studied the life-styles of our forefathers and found without a
shadow of doubt that these men were all followers of Christ. They were
not merely cosmetic Christians, but truly grounded and rooted in God's
word. They were men of prayer and believed that the Lord heard those
prayers and consequently moved in accordance with them. They knew that
God had divinely intervened and brought this nation forward. The fears
that Jefferson, Adams, and the rest had as to this nation failing for
the lack of understanding what had made this nation great were not
unfounded. They knew that if this nation failed to serve God, then this
nation would fall.
The
laws of this land were based on the word of God. The schools were taught
by preachers so the children would know the Word of God. Homosexuality
was punished by law, because it was contrary to the Bible. One could not
even hold office if he did not profess Christianity.
Our
forefathers knew that if a child grew up in a home where the principles
of God's word were not being taught, then the child would have no basis
to live a good and moral life. This, they knew, would destroy the plan
that the Lord had for this nation. Without the teachings of the Bible
there could be no morality in this country, a principle strongly
advocated by all of our forefathers. Without morality, neighbors would
steal, harm, and even kill each other, because there would be no
conscience to convict the evil. They knew that the Bible was the answer
to having the right morals for this country.
Our
forefathers obviously knew what would happen if we as a nation ever
wondered from the standards that they set for us to live by. They knew,
without a doubt, that this nation would fall and that all that our
intelligence could not save us.
I
believe that there are still men in this country who are truly men of
God in the same since that our forefathers were. But I do not see how,
because of the lack of Bible training, we could ever at this point in
time turn around and go back to wholly serve the God that our
forefathers served. The parents of today were not given the correct
principles to follow. Therefore, they cannot instill correctness into
the children of this generation. I do not believe that the parents of
today are the downfall of this nation. I believe that happened a number
a generations ago. A little here and a little there, and our morals
slipped away. We left the principles of God's word, because we were not
able any longer to find God's word working in the church. One sin
slipped into one generation, and then the next generation found it
easier to accept that sin and add another sin to the previous sin. Then,
before we knew it, we were accepting anything that was being done as
freedom and individual rights. We twisted the law to accept wrong and
began to call the Bible outdated for a modern generation.
Even
if this generation repented with a whole heart, it would take two
generations to once again replace all of the sins that this generation
walks in today. Our forefathers said that if the parents were not Bible
believers then the children had no alternative to being heathens.
Therefore, if the parents repented, the children would have to begin to
live different lifestyles and it would take another generation to get it
all changed around to God's methods.
Jefferson feared that if God did not stay paramount in our lives and
government that we would be ruled by the same type of tyrants our
forefathers had been delivered from. To look at the situation that we
now have in this country, one could easily say that Tom Jefferson was
absolutely right in his fears. The lives of most in this country are far
from being that of righteous people. We have all matter of sin and
corruption abounding all over this land.
Our
politicians tell us that they can bring us a better life and they have
the plan for our lives, if we will only elect them to office. God is no
longer in our governmental procedures. We now have become smarter than
our God. Our government now has the kind of power over people that our
forefathers never intended for them to have. Our Supreme Court judges
are interpreting the laws through their minds instead of fervent prayer,
asking God to guide their decisions.
God
help us as we enter deeper and deeper into this dark period of our
nation’s history. The light at the end of the tunnel is still the same
light that guided Washington and the rest of our forefathers, His name
is Jesus, the son of the Living God. To Him be the glory and honor for
ever more, Amen.
