Question: Can Prophet give me a word from G-d? Answer: The Prophet does not give words unless G-d specifically instructs him. G-d will give you a word when you are ready to receive. Seeking to receive ‘a word’ shows our spiritual immaturity. You need to seek G-d through study of His Word, fasting, and prayer The following are teaching about this subject
Question: Why do we leave the “o” out of G-d and L-rd? Answer: Writing the Name of G-d Jews do not casually write any Name of G-d. Many presume that this practice came from the commandment not to take the Lord's Name in vain, it does not. That commandment refers solely to oath taking, and is a prohibition against swearing by G-d's Name falsely or frivolously (the word normally translated as "in vain" literally means "for falsehood"). Many today have taken G-d's name in vain saying 'G-d said...' Judaism does not prohibit writing the Name of G-d per se; it prohibits only erasing or defacing a Name of G-d. However, observant Jews avoid writing any Name of G-d casually because of the risk that the written Name might later be defaced, obliterated or destroyed accidentally or by one who does not know better. The commandment not to erase or deface the name of G-d comes from Deut. 12:3. In that passage, the people are commanded that when they take over the Promised Land, they should destroy all things related to the idolatrous religions of that region, and should utterly destroy the names of the local deities. Immediately afterwards, we are commanded not to do the same to our G-d. From this, the rabbis inferred that we are commanded not to destroy any holy thing, and not to erase or deface a Name of G-d. That is why we avoid writing a Name of G-d on web sites like this one: because there is a risk that someone else will print it out and deface it. We avoid writing the Name by substituting letters or syllables, for example, writing "G-d" instead of "God" and "L-rd" instead of "Lord."
Question: What is your statement of faith? Answer: This is located at the bottom of our home pageWe of Cradle of Hope do believe that Jesus is the Son of Almighty G-d the Father. He came as the Messiah to become once and for all the perfect sacrifice as the Lamb of G-d. He died for all of mankind’s sin so that all that come to him would have eternal life. Three days after he died he was raised from the dead and now sits at the right hand side of the Father making intersession for all who have received him. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues separate from salvation. We believe in healing, deliverance, miracles, signs and wonders. We believe in the use of the five-fold ministry and the function of each of these five offices within the church. We believe in the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We believe in the working of the spiritual gifts that Apostle Paul identified in I Corinthians the 12th chapter.
Question: How do I learn more about the Sabbath? Answer: The Commandment is to Keep Sabbath Holy, no work is to be done on this Holy day this includes not buying or selling. Sabbath begins at sundown Friday; Jewish days, begins at sunset, because in the creation story in Genesis, you will notice that it says, "And there was evening, and there was morning, one day." From this, we infer that a day begins with evening, that is, sunset. The Children watch for when three stars are visible, the Shofar Horn is blown announcing the beginning of Shabbat. At sunset on Friday evening the mother of the house lights two white candles. The house is to be cleaned as a special guest is coming to visit with you and your family. The mood is much like preparing for the arrival of a special, beloved guest, the best dishes and tableware are set, a festive meal is prepared. This is to be a special time for the family to come together and reflect upon G-d and the family. Keeping the Sabbath is not a burden; it is a time to rest and during that time of rest, being able to put all of our life’s dreams and ambitions into the right perspective; G-d first, family second, our jobs and all other activities behind the first two.
